Rugby 1st sponsors NSWJRU & to host 2020 Season Kick-Off Lunch

RUGBY 1ST ‘KICKS OFF’ THE 2020 SEASON WITH AN EVENT TO SUPPORT NSWJRU

Rugby 1st is proud to announce their on-going sponsorship and support of NSW Junior Rugby Union and, in light of the drought and bush fires affecting our rural communities, are hoping to increase their assistance in 2020.  “Rugby 1st is a not-for-profit membership based business network established for the betterment of Rugby.” said Alexandra Lyus,Co-Founder and Co-Director – www.rugby1st.com -  “We were delighted to be naming rights sponsors for the 2019 NSWJRU Girls State Championships and sleeve sponsors for the NSWJRU Rep teams last year, and in 2020 have committed to the same support.  In addition we’re working on ways to provide targeted assistance to drought and fire affected Junior Clubs in our State.”

“Rugby 1st will start their new year campaign with the ‘2020 Season Kickoff Lunch’ on 20 February at Doltone House Hyde Park, benefiting NSWJRU and Richard Tombs’ Guns Out Spinal Foundation.” said Ben Gregory, President NSWJRU, “I urge all our members to get together and attend this fabulous event - celebrate a new year of Rugby, support our Juniors, and hear from a fabulous line up of speakers about what 2020 looks on the field.”

The 2020 Season Kickoff Lunch is proudly presented by Rugby 1st and Front Row and will be held on Thursday 20 February at Doltone House, Hyde Park Sydney. 

3 Course Lunch & Drinks from 12pm.  Two Great Panels and Speakers:

  • Guest Interviewer: Phil Kearns
  • Road to Tokyo Panel:  Matt Carroll AM – CEO Australian Olympic Committee / Ellia Green – Australian Women’s 7’s, Olympic Gold Medallist / Nick Walsh – Head     Coach Australian Men’s 7’s
  • The Future of Rugby Panel:  Kerry Chikarovski – Board, NSW Rugby Union / Gary Flowers – CEO NSW Institute of Sport, ex CEO Australian Rugby Union / Phil Waugh – Wallaby, Rugby Australia Board Member.
